Securing Corporate Capital in UK Capital Markets

The UK's economy grew by 0.5% in February, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The figure easily beat the consensus projection of simply a 0.1% rise, indicating the economy was in better health than thought by the majority of financial experts. The reading was based upon information from before the outbreak of war in the Middle East that sent out energy rates rising and shook confidence throughout the economy.

Previously today, the UK saw the biggest cut to its annual development projection from the IMF amongst innovative economies, with the figure now anticipated to be down from 1.3% last year to simply 0.8%. Another issue is that the reading being so far off forecasts may recommend the figures are being misshaped by seasonality, or other issues in how the information is looked at.

"Although the survey evidence indicated an acceleration in output, no expert prepared for the 0.5% month-on-month surge. "On a yearly basis, development selected up from 0.7% to 1.0% as a strong February offseted a disappointing end to 2025. "Unfortunately, the start of the Iran war on 28 February will stop the increase in its tracks.
